Banzai Retro Club Wins Three W3 Silver Podcast Awards!

Got some good news: Three of our Banzai Retro Club podcasts won a Silver Award in the W3 Awards "best of the internet" competition. That would be for:

Banzai Retro Club - Episode # 67

Hosts: Suzanne Mattaboni, Dave White, and Scott Compton

Banzai Retro Club - Episode # 189

Hosts: Dave White, Scott Compton, Suzanne Mattaboni, Rose Fullerton

Banzai Retro Club - Episode # 79

Hosts: Dave White, Suzanne Mattaboni

These were three of my favorite of our efforts! You can check out some of our ad-hoc harmonies as we reminisce about 1970s jingles, rank New Wave masterworks from the coolest musical decade ever, then PIVOT through our "Friends" tribute -- including my "Janice" imitation.

Fun stuff!

From AIVA and w3:

About the w3 Awards: The w3 Awards honors creative excellence on the web, and recognizes the people behind award-winning sites, marketing programs, social content, mobile site/apps and online video. In honoring the best of the Web, the W³ Awards is the first major web competition to be accessible to the biggest agencies, the smallest firms, and everyone in between. Small firms are as likely to win as Fortune 500 companies and international agencies. Having just finished its sixteenth season, the w3 Awards received over 3,000 entries from Advertising agencies, PR Firms, Digital Agencies, In-house creative professionals, Web Designers, and Graphic Designers.

The Powers Behind the w3: The w3 is sanctioned and judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, an invitationonly body consisting of top-tier professionals from a “Who’s Who” of acclaimed media, interactive, advertising, and marketing firms. AIVA members include executives from organizations such as Majestyk, Big Spaceship, Foursquare, Media Monks, Conde Nast, Comcast, Disney, Microsoft, Wired, and many others.
